Turkey aims at evacuating the area: Official from Syria’s Tel Abyad
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Since the beginning of its invasion of Tel Abyad and Ras al-Ain, the Turkish forces adopted the method of displacement, said Haza’ Muhammad, co-chair of the Tel Abyad Region.
Muhammad’s speech came on the margin of the second conference of the Democratic Union Party (PYD)-Tel Abyad Region which was in the al-Chalabiya district, southeast of Kobani, northern Syria.
“Whenever there is relative stability and tranquility in our areas, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries bombard the areas of Tel Abyad,” Muhammad told North Press.
“The areas that were most exposed to indiscriminate bombardment are Ain Issa and the village of al-Jern, which led to casualties among the civilians, including children,” he added.
The co-chair of Tel Abyad Region pointed out that the Turkish forces and the affiliated armed factions continue to bombard the villages adjacent to Ain Issa from the north, such as al-Mu’allaq, al-Jahbal.
The Turkish occupation supports the terrorist organizations, and it is the one that brought us ISIS to the area, as Muhammad noted.
The official stressed that the Turkish forces aim at intimidating and displacing the civilians through their bombardment of the area.
The Russians, who are here as a guarantor for the ceasefire in the area, “ain’t doing it.”
