Syrian government bombs opposition in Idlib, Hama countryside
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Syrian government forces renewed their artillery shelling and missile attacks on opposition sites in Idlib and Hama, northwest Syria, amid intense flight of Russian drones.
“The government forces bombed the town of Balyon in Zawiya Mountain area, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and missiles, causing damage to property while no casualties were reported,” military sources of the opposition told North Press.
“The bombing also targeted the opposition sites in the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kafr Oweid, Sufuhn, Fleifel, and the outskirts of the towns of Kansafra and al-Bara,” the sources added.
In Hama, from their positions in Jurin Camp, the government forces shelled the villages and towns of al-Ziyara, al-Enkawi, Khirbet al-Naqous, and the outskirts of the town of Zayzon in the Ghab Plain, west of the city.
The bombardment coincided with intense flight of Russian drones over Idlib and the countryside of Hama, Aleppo and Latakia in northwest Syria, according to the same sources.
Yesterday, a girl was killed and two other children were wounded due to a bombardment by the government forces on the villages and towns of the Ghab Plain area, west of Hama.
