Crossings point of contention between major powers in Syria: Political analyst
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The crossings in Syria have become a point of contention between countries intervening in Syria, Syrian political analyst Ghayath Na’isa said on Wednesday.
“The crossings issue has become directly connected with the interests of the major regional countries and a part of their strategies in concluding contracts and negotiating,” he added.
He stressed the necessity of allowing aid to enter through the border crossings, including Tel Kocher (Yaroubiyah) crossing.
“The entry of aid through the crossings, including the ones in northeast Syria, is important and necessary to get out of this dilemma that the Syrians suffer from,” he pointed out.
“The distribution mechanism could be carried out under the supervision of the UN to be used in the right way, as they are considered humanitarian aid,” according to Na’isa.
