Russian, Turkish forces patrol Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Russian military police conducted a joint military patrol with Turkish forces in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.
This patrol is the 61st patrol between the two forces in the region since the Russian-Turkish agreement on a ceasefire in northeast Syria.
The patrol, consisting of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, took off from the village of Gharib, 15 kilometers east of Kobani.
The patrol roamed the villages of Qeremokh, Jeshan, Jarabisan Fawqani, and Baghdik, all the way to the village of Khaneh (or Bandar Khan) in Tel Abyad’s western countryside.
The patrol then returned to its starting point in the village of Gharib, where Turkish vehicles returned to Turkey via a gate near the village; Russian vehicles returned to their position to the west of Kobani.
On June 28, the 60th Russian-Turkish patrol in the region was conducted in the western countryside of Kobani.
