SDF arrests ISIS members, seizes weapons in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the commandos of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested five members accused of being affiliated with ISIS in a security operation in the town of al-Busayrah, east of Deir z-Zor.
After the operation, the commandos forces issued a public opinion statement, and displayed weapons and ammunition, which they said they seized during the operation.
In the statement, they said the operation was carried out with air support from the US-led Global Coalition, where weapons, equipment and documents were seized.
The SDF found “a bomb factory that contained large quantities of explosives used by ISIS in terrorist operations.”
Two days ago, the SDF arrested 17 ISIS members with the Global Coalition air support in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
