Russian convoy heads to Syria’s Ain Issa from Qamishli Airport
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, a Russian military convoy headed to the town of Ain Issa in the countryside of Raqqa, northern Syria, via the M4 Highway, from a Russian base at Qamishli Airport.
A North Press reporter said that the convoy included about 15 military armored vehicles, and it arrived Thursday noon to the town of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah.
The reporter added, quoting local military sources, that the convoy will head towards Ain Issa after it came from Qamishli Airport, where the main base of the Russian forces is in northeastern Syria.
The convoy took the M4 highway without air cover, as is the norm.
