Syrian government-held areas record 46 new coronavirus cases

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 46 new coronavirus infections and five deaths in its areas of control.

The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were three in Damascus and two in Aleppo.

Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of seven new recoveries.

The new cases were 12 each in Damascus and Homs, ten in Aleppo, four in Hama, three in Tartus, two in Quneitra, and one each in Daraa, Latakia and Suwayda.

The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 24,860, including 1,815 deaths and 21,682 recoveries.

On Sunday, the government-held areas recorded 25 new coronavirus infections, two deaths, and seven recoveries.
