Syrian government-held areas record 25 new coronavirus cases
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 25 new coronavirus infections and two deaths in its areas of control.
The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were one each in Damascus and Aleppo.
Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of seven new recoveries.
The new cases were 11 in Aleppo, three each Damascus and Daraa, four in Hama, and two each in Rif Dimashq and Latakia.
The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 24,814, including 1,810 deaths and 21,675 recoveries.
On Saturday, the government-held areas recorded 22 new coronavirus infections, two deaths, and five recoveries.
