Syrian government-held areas record 22 new coronavirus cases
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 22 new coronavirus infections and two deaths in its areas of control.
The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were one each in Damascus and Aleppo.
Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of five new recoveries.
The new cases were 15 in Aleppo, three in Hama, two each in Damascus and Latakia.
The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 24,789, including 1,808 deaths and 21,668 recoveries.
On Friday, the government-held areas recorded 24 new coronavirus infections, two deaths, and five recoveries.
