Syrian government-held areas record 24 new coronavirus cases

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 24 new coronavirus infections and two deaths in its areas of control.

The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were one each in Damascus and Aleppo.

Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of five new recoveries.

The new cases were 14 in Aleppo, three each in Damascus and Hama, two in Latakia, and one each in Homs and Rif Dimashq.

The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 24,767, including 1,806 deaths and 21,663 recoveries.
