KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, a 15-year-old child lost his life in the countryside of Kobani, north Syria, as a result of the explosion of a bomb left over from the war.
The child, Youssef Taha Hassan, from the countryside of Homs, lost his life as a result of a bomb explosion, a local source from the village of Karak, 35 km southeast of Kobani, said.
The source pointed out that a cluster bomb left over from the war, exploded in the child and killed him instantly while grazing the sheep.
The countryside of Kobani has witnessed the explosion of mines dating back to the period when ISIS attacked the city.
On March 17, 2020, a 10-year-old boy lost his life and his father was injured by a landmine explosion, in the village of Sarzuri, 37 km east of Kobani.
