IED exploded in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor, SDF members wounded
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in a vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syriam wounding four members.
An IED exploded in a vehicle of the SDF members in the town al-Hussan, 7 km west of Deir ez-Zor, a local source told North Press.
The IED was planted on the right side of the main road, and its explosion resulted in the injury of four SDF members, where they were transferred to Raqqa Military Hospital, according to the source.
Recently, the SDF launched military campaigns to pursue ISIS militants and sleeper cells.
On Sunday, Unidentified individuals assassinated an employee at the Dar al-Ifta (Islamic advisory body) of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
On May 24, SDF announced that they had arrested 24 alleged ISIS members during a security operation with the participation of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
