Syria’s AANES records new coronavirus infections

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration announced the record of three deaths and 44 new coronavirus infections in northeast Syria.

According to the co-chair of the Health Board of AANES, Dr. Jiwan Mustafa, the deceased are two men from Hasakah and a woman from Derbasiya.

12 infections were in Raqqa, seven in Qamishli, while in Tabqa there were 13 infections.

The rest of infections were as the followings:  four infections in each of Hasakah, Girke Lege, Derbasiya, and Deir ez-Zor, while there were three cases in each of Derik and Hawl Camp, and two in Shahba.

The Health Board also recorded the recovery of eight infections.

The total toll of coronavirus cases in the AANES regions has risen to 17,716, including 720 deaths, and 1,786 recoveries.
