Turkish-backed armed group official killed in Syria’s northwest

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish-backed Syrian National Army official killed and others were wounded on Friday in an explosion in the city of Salqin, northwest Idlib.

An IED exploded in the a car of a military official of the Syrian National Army in the city of Salqin, killing him immediately and causing material damage to the area, a local source told North Press.

The source has not revealed the casualty’s official identity and no armed groups have announced details about the incident.

The de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is witnessing security chaos and successive attacks by unknown individuals against posts of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) and Turkish-backed armed groups.
