Russian and American forces conduct separate patrols in Syria’s Derik

DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, Russian Military Police conducted a military patrol in the city of Derik in far northeast Syria, coinciding with the departure of an American one in the same region.

Local sources from the village of Ain Dewar told North Press that a military patrol of the Russian forces arrived in the village this afternoon.

The patrol consisted of two armored vehicles without air cover, according to the sources.

On Sunday morning, the American forces conducted a military patrol in the northern countryside of Derik. The patrol consisted of four armored vehicles and two helicopters providing air cover.

On Tuesday, the Russian Military Police conducted a military patrol in the northern countryside of Deirk, which consisted of three armored vehicles without air cover.
