Two people were assassinated in Syria’s Daraa

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, two people were killed in two separate assassinations, one in the western countryside and the other in the northern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.

Unknown assailants shot the so-called Khaldoun Barakat al-Tershan, near the village of Kharab al-Shaham, west of Daraa, to death, local sources said.

Al-Tershan was the commander of a local group within the Security Office of the Syrian government’s Fourth Division in Daraa, the source added.

While activists accuse the Office of being behind the assassinations in Daraa.

Yesterday, unidentified gunmen assassinated Youssef al-Jebawi in his house in Barqa town, east of Daraa.

Al-Jebawi worked as a teacher of the Arabic language, and before the government forces took control of the governorate of Daraa, he worked with civil society organizations, and was head of the Municipal Local Council in Jasem.
