Militants wearing ISIS clothes raid house in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Islamic State (ISIS) militants were seen in public while raiding a house in order to kidnap a guest there on Monday, residents from Deir ez-Zor countryside, east Syria, said.

During the raid, four ISIS armed militants, who were riding motorbikes, fired at Abdulsaleh al-Narjis, a civilian from the town of Sweidan, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, wounding him.

The four militants were wearing Kandahari dress that ISIS militants wore during their ruling in the area before being expelled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with support of the US-led Global Coalition, a resident from the town told North Press.

The militants tried to kidnap an owner of a money exchange and remittance company from the house that they raided for unknown reasons, he added.

Meanwhile, the unidentified militants ran away after wounding one as a result of the house owner’s resistance.

Recently, eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing intensive kidnappings and assassinations that ISIS, who are seen wearing their Islamic cloths shouting their own slogans, claimed responsible for.

Five days ago, ISIS claimed responsibility for killing a civilian in the middle of the popular market of the town of Thiban, east Deir ez-Zor.

Yesterday, an SDF official lost his life after receiving gunshots by unknown individuals in the town of Sweidan.
