SDF arrests ISIS cell in Syria’s Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday night, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested a cell affiliated with ISIS in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria.

The SDF Media Center published confessions, including by the cell leader, who talked about their activities in Raqqa city during the last period.

The operations carried out by the cell included targeting a military vehicle, public properties, and a number of vital facilities in Raqqa.

According to the confessions, the cell received financial support and military instructions directly from the so-called ”al-Shayib” who lives in al-Bab city, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, which is under Turkish-backed armed groups.

Several days ago, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found a warehouse for the manufacture and storage of explosive shells and improvised explosive devices in the al-Karama area, 30 km east of Raqqa.
