QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 141 new coronavirus infections and ten deaths in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths were a man in each of Hasakah, Qamishli, Deir ez-Zor, Tel Tamr, and Derik, two men from Manbij, and three women from Qamishli.
Most of the infections today were concentrated in Qamishli 21 cases, Hasakah 38, Raqqa 32, Derik 19, Roj camp eight, Tel Tamr two.
Other infections were distributed in Derbasiya seven cases, seven in Amuda, three in Jil Agha, three in Girke Lege, and one in Shahba in Aleppo countryside.
Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded 18 new recoveries.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 14,822 confirmed cases, including 495 deaths and 1,506 recoveries.
