Landmines exploded in Syria’s Hama, casualties reported

HAMA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, two landmines of war remnants exploded in the region of Salamiya, in the eastern countryside of Hama, central Syria, leaving casualties.

Two landmines were exploded in two separate areas, the first was exploded in the village of Abu Habilat, east of Salamiya, which resulted in the killing of a girl child and the injury of her sister, local sources said.   

The second was exploded in the village of al-Rahraha, which is under the control of the Syrian government, wounding two civilians, the sources added.  

War remnants in the areas witnessed military confrontations, pose a threat to the lives of the residents amid the absence of awareness campaigns on how to deal with the war remnants.
