Syria’s Autonomous Administration records eight coronavirus deaths
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 245 new coronavirus infections and eight deaths in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths were two men and two women from Deir ez-Zor a man from Qamishli, and a man and two women from Manbij.
Most of the infections today were concentrated in Tabqa 60, Qamishli 39 cases, Hasakah 37, Deir ez-Zor 28, Raqqa 25, Tabqa 32, Raqqa 28, and Derik 17, Roj camp 12, Kobani 12.
Other infections were distributed in Derbasiya nine cases, three in Jil Agha, one case in Girke Lege, four in Manbij, and one in Shahba in Aleppo countryside.
Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded 12 new recoveries.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 14,681 confirmed cases, including 485 deaths and 1,488 recoveries.
This new toll comes on the eighth day of the complete lockdown imposed in the northeastern regions of Syria.
