Kurdistan Region records more than 1,000 coronavirus infections in 24 hours

ERBIL, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq announced the recording of more than a thousand new coronavirus infections and 15 deaths during the past 24 hours.

“1,022 new cases of coronavirus were recorded throughout the Region during the past 24 hours,” the ministry said in a statement.

The new infections were 491 in Duhok, 282 in Sulaymaniyah, 193 in Erbil, 15 in Halabja, 36 in Garmian, and 5 in Raparen.

The statement indicated that 15 deaths of coronavirus were recorded, which were 4 in Erbil, 4 in Sulaymaniyah, 5 in Duhok, and 2 in Garmian, so that the total number of deaths has risen to 3,911 since the outbreak of the epidemic in Kurdistan Region so far.
