Unknown individuals wound civilian in Syria’s east Deir ez-Zor countryside
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, unknown masked individuals riding a motorbike fired at a civilian in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
A local source from the town of Shuhail, 40 kilometers from Deir ez-Zor, told North Press that masked armed individuals riding a motorbike shot a young man with a silenced pistol in the town.
The civilian was critically wounded and was transferred to Shuhail Hospital for treatment, according to the same source.
The eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside has been recently witnessing assassinations carried out against Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) members, employees of the civil administration, tribal figures, and civilians in the area and the Islamic State is accused of committing them.
On Sunday, unknown armed individuals killed an SDF member and wounded another in the town of Theban, east Deir ez-Zor.
Two days ago, SDF arrested five persons accused of belonging to ISIS sleeper cells east Deir ez-Zor countryside.
