HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A train derailed in the city of Tukh in al-Qalyubia governorate, northern Egypt, wounding 97 people, the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population said on Sunday.
“58 ambulances were sent to hospitalize the injured,” Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Information and Awareness, said.
“All the injured are receiving the necessary treatment and medical care in hospitals,” he added, stressing that the level of preparedness was raised to the utmost level in all hospitals in the city.
Eng. Ashraf Raslan, head of the Railway Board, said that an urgent technical committee had been formed to find out the real reasons behind the overturning of two carriages of the train No. 949 of the line “Cairo – Mansoura”.
