4 SDF members wounded by explosive device in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, four members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were injured after their car was targeted by an explosive device in the town of Abriha, 45 km east of Deir ez-Zor.

A local source told North Press that an explosive device exploded amid a patrol of the SDF members while they were passing to deliver their elements to one of its points.

The device was planted on the side of the road, and its explosion resulted in the wounding of four members of varying degrees. The injured were transferred to the military hospital in al-Omar oil field, the sources added.

In recent times, ISIS has intensified its operations in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and as a result, the Syrian Democratic Forces have launched military operations to pursue the organization’s cells.

On April 9th, four members of the SDF lost their lives as a result of their car being targeted by an explosive device in the town of Shuhail, east of Deir ez-Zor.
