SDF arrests accused of belonging to ISIS in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with air support of the US-led Global Coalition, arrested individuals accused of belonging to ISIS, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The SDF raided the towns of al-Shuhail, Thiban and al-Zir in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, a military source of the SDF said.
The SDF arrested 4 persons in the town of al-Zir in the district of al-Sowar, east Deir ez-Zor, and confiscated weapons and ammunition.
Recently, the SDF has intensified its security operations in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
On April 3, the SDF arrested 3 members of ISIS sleeper cells in the town of al-Zir.
