Stations ran out of fuel in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, fuel stations ran out of gasoline in the city of al-Mayadin, which is under the control of the government forces in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
As a result, the price of gasoline witnessed a significant increase in the black market, bringing the price of one liter to 6,500 SYP, and 3,300 SYP for diesel.
Jaber al-Abdullah, a taxi driver, said that he has not worked since this morning due to the lack of gasoline, despite his urgent need to work with the advent of Ramadan.
“We fear the rise in bread price as a result of the complete loss of the fuel that the bakeries need to work,” he added.
