Syria’s northwest announces 31 new coronavirus cases

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Syrian Interim Government of the opposition Syrian National Coalition announced the recording of 31 new cases of coronavirus in northwest Syria.

On its official account on the Internet, the Interim Government said that it recorded 31 cases of the virus, and nine recoveries.

It indicated that it had conducted tests for 721 suspected cases in Idlib and Aleppo regions.

With the newly announced figures, the total number of infections in the opposition-controlled areas has risen to 21,540, including 638 deaths and 19,584 recoveries.

The numbers of coronavirus cases in Idlib and Aleppo have increased significantly since the end of March, according to the statistics announced by the Interim Government.
