Turkish-backed group seizes 60 agricultural vehicles in Afrin

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, militants of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups detained 60 agricultural vehicles belonging to residents of the villages of Kamruk and Arab Sheikho in the Maabatli district in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo, after they refused to work for free.

A leader in the Turkish-backed Falcons of the North group, Ahmed Koiyan, seized 60 agricultural tractors in the villages of Kamruk and Arab Sheikho due to the refusal of the tractor owners to work for the faction for free, local sources told North Press.

This comes within the framework of the opposition groups’ policy of harassing and extorting the population and committing all kinds of violations, including killing, kidnapping and torture against them, according to human rights reports.

Maabatli district is under the control of the Ahrar al-Sham Islamic factions and the North Falcons, in addition to other factions loyal to Turkey.
