Government crossings closed due to Russian-Iranian conflict: Syria’s Autonomous Administration
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, sources from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) told North Press that the closure of the government crossings with AANES-held areas occurred due to Russian-Iranian disputes over the crossings’ revenues.
The Syrian government closed three crossings with the AANES-held areas on March 21.
The crossings’ closure is not due to political disputes between the Syria government and the AANES, according to the sources.
The main reason after the closure is the Russian-Iranian conflict over the crossings’ revenues, the sources added.
The three crossings are al-Tayha in Manbij, Tabqa crossing, and Bu Asi crossing.
