Asayish demands residents of Syria’s Deir ez-Zor to abide by lockdown
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) demanded the residents of the town of Gharanij, east of Deir ez-Zor, to abide by the lockdown decision to limit the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier today, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 57 new coronavirus infections in Deir ez-Zor.
The Asayish vehicles roamed around the town and demanded the residents, via loudspeakers, to adhere to the lockdown decision, warning of being subjected to a fine in case of violating the decision.
The Eastern Region Council in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, announced the full lockdown decision on April 5 until April 12, after the increase in the infections.
