Syria’s AANES permits Humanitarian Affairs Office to work during lockdown
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Office of the Humanitarian Affairs in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the continuation of their relief and humanitarian activities during the new lockdown period.
The Office of the Humanitarian Affairs issued a circular in which they stated that their activities during the lockdown will continue, while they ban all meetings, symposia, workshops, and trainings.
On Tuesday morning, a complete lockdown started in the cities of Raqqa, Hasakah, and Qamishli for a week.
The complete lockdown coincides with another partial one in other areas of north and east Syria that starts from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
According to the circular of the Office of the Humanitarian Affairs, the employees of the organization are allowed to move throughout the regions as needed and according to the organizations’ identification cards.
Additionally, the movement in crossings will continue only for humanitarian work, and the activities permitted according to this circular will continue to be implemented in the camps and shelter centers.
