Syria’s AANES records 304 coronavirus infections and 4 deaths

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 304 new coronavirus infections and four deaths in northeast Syria.

AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths are a man and a woman from Qamishli, a man form Hasakah, and a man from Derik.

The recorded infections were 151 males and 153 females, Mustafa confirmed.

In the Jazira region, the infections were 137 in Qamishli, 59 in Derik, 57 in Hasakah, 17 in Derbasiya, 4 in Rumailan, and one in Girke Lege.

While in the Euphrates region, the infections were 24 in Raqqa, 3 in Manbij, and 2 in Kobani.

Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded 5 new recoveries.

With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 10,813 confirmed cases, including 396 deaths and 1,334 recoveries.
