Syria’s AANES records 105 coronavirus infections and 3 deaths
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 105 new coronavirus infections and three deaths in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths are a man from Qamishli, a man form Hasakah and a man from Deir ez-Zor.
The recorded infections were 21 in Hasakah, 32 in Tabqa, 28 in Raqqa, 14 in Kobani, eight in Derbasiya, and two in Manbij.
Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded two new recoveries.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 10,509 confirmed cases, including 392 deaths and 1,329 recoveries.
On Saturday, AANES issued a decision to impose a complete lockdown in three cities after they have been witnessing a remarkable increase in the number of coronavirus infections.
The complete lockdown will start in the cities of Raqqa, Qamishli, and Hasakah on Tuesday, 6/4/2021, and will last a week.
Meanwhile, the complete lockdown will coincide with a partial one in other areas of northeast Syria from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
