Autonomous Administration issues new lockdown in Syria’s northeast
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – “The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) issued a decision to impose a complete and partial lockdown against coronavirus pandemic in its areas, Health Committee spokeswoman in Qamishli, Rojin Ahmad, said on Saturday.
The complete lockdown will start in the cities of Raqqa, Qamishli, and Hasakah on Tuesday 6/4/2021 and will last a week.
The three cities top the list of coronavirus infections in AANES areas.
Meanwhile, Ahmad added that the complete lockdown will coincide with a partial one in other areas of northeast Syria starting from 04:00 PM to 06:00 AM.
On Saturday, the AANES Health Board recorded four deaths and 73 new coronavirus infections in northeast Syria.
The total toll of infections in Syria’s northeast areas came up to 10,404 infections including 389 deaths and 1,327 recoveries.
