Syria’s AANES records 73 new coronavirus infections and 4 deaths
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 73 new coronavirus infections and 4 deaths in northeast Syria.
AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths are three men from Qamishli and a man from Deir ez-Zor.
The infections were 37 males and 36 females, according to Mustafa.
The recorded infections were 31 in Qamishli, 24 in Hasakah, 12 in Derik, 2 in Derbasiyah, and 4 in Deir ez-Zor.
Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded one new recovery.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 10,404 confirmed cases, including 389 deaths and 1,327 recoveries.
Recently, the AANES-held areas have witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of coronavirus deaths and infections.
