Syrian government intensifies bombing on opposition sites in Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (north Press) – On Tuesday, the Syrian government forces intensified their shelling on the de-escalation zones in Idlib and Hama regions, northwest Syria, hours after the Turkish forces conducted a single patrol on M4 Highway.
“The government forces targeted positions of the armed opposition groups in the villages and towns of Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, and Ghab Plain, west of Hama, with heavy artillery shells and rockets,” field sources told North press.
In Hama, the government forces bombarded the villages and towns of Mansoura, Tel Wasit and Ziyarah in Ghab Plain, west of Hama, with artillery shells.
The Turkish patrol coincided with intense deployment of the Turkish forces on the M4 Highway, in addition to intense flight of the Russian and Turkish drones over the region.
The Syrian government forces and the armed opposition groups continue to violate the ceasefire agreement, which has entered its second year, within the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria.
