Russian, American forces conduct separate patrols in Syria’s Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian forces conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, northeast Syria, coinciding with another American one in the area.
Before the Russian patrol reached the village of Ain Dewar, two Russian helicopters flew over the northern and western countryside.
The Russian patrol coincided with an American patrol in the same area, accompanied by two helicopters.
The American patrol stayed about an hour, meeting with villagers, while the Russian one headed towards the Roman Bridge before returning to their bases in the city of Qamishli, travelling on the border route in the west Derik countryside.
On Saturday, a Russian patrol and an American one arrived in Ain Dewar village.
