Russian-Turkish joint military patrol run in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Russian Military Police conducted a joint patrol with Turkey in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northeast Syria.

This is the 48th joint patrol conducted in the region.

The patrol set out from Gharib village, 15 kilometers east of Kobani, and it included eight Russian-Turkish military vehicles in addition to two Russian helicopters.

It roamed the villages of Koztepe, Qara Mugh, Gayshan, Kharabisan Fawqani, Bagdik, reaching the village of Bandarkhan (Khanh) in the western countryside of Tel Abyad, to return then to Gharib.

After that, Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near the village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near a radio tower, 7 kilometers west of Kobani.

On March 15, the Russian Military Police conducted the 47th joint patrol with Turkey in the west countryside of Kobani.
