People injured due to a landmine explosion in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, two civilians were injured when a landmine, left over from government forces, exploded in a car in Idlib countryside.

“A landmine, which was left over by the Syrian government forces, was exploded in a car in the agricultural lands near the town of Neirab, east of Idlib,” local sources told North Press.

The sources added that the explosion resulted in the injury of two civilians, where the civil defense teams transferred them to nearby medical points in the area.

On March 26, a child was injured due to explosion of a cluster bomb from the remnants of previous bombing by the Syrian government aircraft on the town of Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib.

The remnants of war in the areas that witnessed military confrontations pose a threat to the lives of the population, amid poor education and absence of awareness campaigns on how to deal with them.
