Syrian government-held areas record ten coronavirus deaths
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the information office of theSyrian government’s Health Board recorded ten deaths, 155 new infections, and 120 recoveries from coronavirus in government-held areas.
The information office stated on its official Facebook account that the deaths were four in Damascus, two in Tartus, and one each in Aleppo, Homs, Suwayda, and Latakia.
During the past period, the government-held areas have witnessed a spike in coronavirus deaths and infections.
The new recorded infections were 70 in Damascus, 21 in Aleppo, 18 in Tartus, 15 in Homs, 14 in Latakia, 11 in Rif Dimashq, five in Hama, and one in Quneitra.
With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the government-held areas has reached 18,201 confirmed cases, including 1216 deaths and 12,142 recoveries.
