Russian forces patrol in northeast Syria’s Derik
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, Russian Military Police conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik in the far northeast Syria.
The patrol, which consisted of four armored vehicles accompanied by two helicopters, reached the village of Ain Diwar, north Derik.
The patrol headed to the Roman bridge on the Syrian-Turkish border, and then to the western countryside of the region, to go back to its base in the city of Qamishli, according to local sources.
This is the second patrol within a week, as it patrolled on March 22 in the northern and western countryside of Derik.
Usually, the Russian Military Police patrol twice in a week in the area without to change its path.
