VBIED explosion leaves dead, wounded in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, at least two people lost their lives in a VBIED explosion in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeast Syria.

“The VBIED exploded near the industrial zone in the city,” local sources told North Press.

“At least two people were killed and several were wounded during the blast,” the sources added.

This took place two days after ten civilians were killed and wounded due to a missile that fell on a house near the prison of pro-Turkish armed groups in the city center.

Areas held by Turkish-backed militant groups are witnessing successive explosions, kidnappings of civilians, and infighting.

Turkish forces and their affiliated armed groups have been running Sere Kaniye since the Turkish invasion of northeast Syria in October 2019, which displaced thousands of civilians.
