Several tents burn in Syria’s Hawl Camp

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Monday evening, a fire broke out in three tents in the sixth sector of Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah.

Hawl Camp is one of the largest camps for the displaced in Syria, where more than 60,000 people reside, the proportion of children and women being more than 80%, according to United Nations statistics

The sixth sector houses displaced Syrians, from different regions.

Nine people, including seven children, died in a fire that broke out in a tent in the Fourth Sector for Syrians, during a wedding on February 27th.

A source from the security forces said that the fire broke out this evening in three tents without causing any human casualties, and there was only material damage.
