ENKS recalls victims of 2015 bombings in Haskah, congratulates Newroz
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, member of the presidency committee of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), Fasla Youssef, congratulated Newroz Day to the Kurdish people in all parts of the world and commemorated the victims of the massacre took place on the eve of Newroz in Haskah in 2015.
“We, as ENKS, lit candles this evening in Hasakah in the place where the Newroz massacre took place in which 63 civilians were killed,” Youssef said.
“By this terrorist act, they wanted to break the will of the Kurdish people and they wanted to keep the Kurds away from their national day,” she added.
“On this occasion, I congratulate the Kurdish people all over the world and hope that Newroz 2021 will be the day of unifying the Kurdish position,” Youssef told North Press.
The ENKS official hoped to guarantee the the rights of the Kurdish people in a future, democratic and federal Syria.
