Rocket fire hit southern Turkey

AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, two missiles fell on Kilis province, south Turkey, from the Syrian territory, amid Turkish shelling on areas north of Aleppo.

“The two shells, fell in the region, led to material damage without casualties,” a special source told North Press.

“The Turkish base stationed in Azaz-Yahmoul road targeted the town of Tel Rifaat, the villages of Mar’anaz, Sheikh Issa, Herbel, and the Menegh military airbase in al-Shahba region, north of Aleppo, with heavy artillery and rocket launchers,” the source added. 

The Turkish forces continue to target the towns and villages of the northern countryside of Aleppo, leaving dead and wounded, in addition to material damage in the area.

On March 11, the Turkish base bombed the town of Tel Rifaat and the villages of Mar’anaz, Belouniya and Alqamiya, north of Aleppo, without reports regarding the amount of the damage caused by the indiscriminate bombing.

Following the Turkish invasion in 2018, thousands of families who were displaced from Afrin region live in al-Shahba area, north of Aleppo.
