Public Hospital opened in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The US Deputy Special Envoy to Syria, David Brownstein, accompanied by US military officials and the head of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, officially opened Abu Hamam Hospital, 90 km east of Deir ez-Zor.
The opening ceremony was attended by Brownstein with a delegation from the US-led Global Coalition and the head of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, along with a number of notables.
The attendees listened to the demands of the medical staff about the hospital’s supplies, with a theatrical performance by children from the area.
Brownstein delivered a speech during the opening, saying “I am glad to be among you, and we will work together to restore security and stability to Deir ez-Zor.”
“A thousand miles start with a step, and this is my first step, and in the next steps, the hospital will be supported with complete equipment and furniture,” he added.
On October 13, 2020, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, with the participation of a delegation from the Global Coalition, inaugurated the project to rehabilitate Abu Hamam Hospital.
