Syria’s Aleppo witnesses increase in buying real estates by pro-Iranian individuals

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Recently, Iran continues to buy real estates and buildings in some neighborhoods in Aleppo, especially in the vicinity of al-Nuqtah Mosque, through its commercial agents and some pro-Iranian groups.

“The Iranian commercial and real estate activity is increasing significantly in the city, and “Iran is seeking to buy lands and real estate in various regions of Aleppo, especially in the old city,” according to real estate office owners.

“We are witnessing a turnout in buying homes and shops in al-Zebdiya, Bustan al-Qasr, and Iza’a neighborhoods,” Abu Farouq (pseudonym), a real estate office owner in Aleppo, told North Press.

“Young men from the Shiite majority towns of Nubul, al-Zahra’, al-Fu’ah, and Kafraya promote for purchasing process,” he added.

“Traders, who work for the interests of Iran, even buy the destroyed buildings in the mentioned neighborhoods for huge amount of money, while the buying process is carried out through either owners or their agents,” he pointed out.

“Through this process, Iran aims at establishing a Shiite populated demographic protection ring surrounding the religious shrine, which is considered the only shrine in the city,” a source of the pro-Iranian groups in Aleppo, told North Press.

“Traders affiliated with Iranian parties bought dozens of homes, buildings, and lands for construction,” the source added.

Syrian Shiite fighters, who are supported by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, are given interest-free loans that may reach 70,000,000 Syrian pounds in order to buy a house, provided that to be near al-Nuqtah Mosque, according to the source.
