Iraqi refugee killed in Syria’s Hawl Camp

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday at dawn, security forces in Hawl Camp, east Hasakah, found a body of an Iraqi refugee, who was killed by unknown.

51-year-old Iraqi refugee Dahham Karom Medahi was killed in his tent in the first sector by several gunshots in the head, a security source in the camp told North Press.

The body was transferred to the medical point of the Kurdish Red Crescent in the camp for checking up the body. While the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) continue investigation in order to reveal the perpetrators.

On Monday, Asayish found two bodies of Iraqi refugees, who were killed by unknown individuals, in a tent in the third sector in the camp.

Last week, Asayish found four bodies of Iraqi refugees and another of a Syrian IDP, also shot to death by unknown persons.

An Iraqi refugee and a Syrian IDP were wounded with gunshots in the wrist and knee and were transferred to a hospital last Wednesday, according to a security source in the camp.
