AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, a VBIED exploded on al-Mazot Road in the outskirts of the city of Afrin, northwest Syria.
“The car was parked on the edge of the road at the western entrance to the city of Afrin,” a special source told North Press.
The explosion caused material damage, amid unconfirmed reports about the killing of two members of the Turkish-backed Military Police.
The city of Afrin, north of Aleppo, has been under the control of the Turkish armed opposition groups since March 2018.
On February 24, three civilians were injured as a result of an IED explosion planted inside a van in Vilat neighborhood in the center of Afrin.
